Having made its debut in the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, the Toyota Verso is the perfect example of a compact and chic MPV. Clearly, it was designed with space-saving in mind. It is small and compact on the outside but rather spacious inside. It can even seat up to 7 people – 1 driver, 1 front seat passenger, 3 back seat passengers, and 2 at the retractable seats located at the rear. For its simple and compact design, it has plenty of space to make up for it.
The predecessor of the Toyota Verso is the Toyota Corolla Verso. Unlike most other car model series, the design of the Toyota Verso has little in common with its predecessor. Many Toyota aficionados would rather liken its design to the Toyota IQ, another small and compact car design which shares with the Verso the same concepts of fuel conservation, maneuverability, efficiency, and the maximization of interiors.
Coincidentally, the IQ was released a year earlier, also in the Geneva Motor Show. Many Toyota lovers insist that the Verso should have been called the Toyota IQ 2 instead. This is a result of the argument that a 2nd generation model of a certain model series should be upgraded versions of the initial models rather than a clear reduction of the original features.
For fans of sedans and other medium-sized vehicles, the Verso may come as a shocking design. It looks rather cheap and too simple. One would assume that Toyota tried experimenting with overly simple designs to see if their brand name can still carry the same marketable value as with its other more advanced car models. Clearly, it has no physical design features that make it special from other car designs.
On the driver’s seat, the Toyota Verso also offers nothing special. Although it has all the creature comforts that come with modern family cars, you will still end up expecting more. The maneuverability and speed is excellent for an ordinary vehicle but if you are a performance junkie, the Verso is not for you.
Not to take anything away from Toyota, the good news is that Toyota’s reputation of vehicle safety is still instilled in the Verso.
Overall, it seems Toyota is upping the ante in experimenting with designs based on smart cars. So far, the results have been average at best. The Toyota Verso serves its purpose as a compact Multi Purpose Vehicle but nothing more. Luckily, there is still a market for the vehicle and Verso sales are yet to show any bad signs.

I think the best points of the Toyota Verso is probably the fact that it seats 7; a good thing for bigger families. It is a bit generic looking but there are actually a lot of people who don’t want to stand out but blend in and this vehicle would be perfect for them.
Frist of all, it looks very fashionable, due to its whole silver gloss, then, if you have a big family, maybe it’s very appropriate, as it could hold 7 people. If you are not sure to buy it or not, you could consult the datas on the net, or ask your friends,,,it will be better to give you the advices after seeing the real car…hope you can make a great decision…:)
This one is really cute. Another hit product of Toyota. This one really attract car buyers since it has its very cute designed but very spacious inside. You now have the idea for what car to buy. Thanks for this post, a very informative one.
I believe it looks like if you need a spacious car that still looks so sophisticated, then this one is worth buying. I have a toyota but it is a civic. That car make is always my first choice in terms of performance and style. Plus they are never hard to find.
