Toyota is now focusing to move it’s Asean hub production for Toyota Fortuner from Thailand to Indonesia plant, in Cikarang. The move will increase it’s production between 90,000 and 100,000 annually, compared to from 60,000 to 70,000 amount of cars total previously. The process of relocation is expected to be done near July or August, which certainly change sources of Toyota Fortuner completely for nearer countries market.

According to PT Toyota Astra Motor’s, Jhonny Darmawan, Toyota Fortuner is originally built in Indonesia plant, but however moved out to Thailand die efficiency and market considerations, as apparently Thailand plant productions were more easier to get exported. It looks like the move is another step for more money to Astra’s bank.
