
Previously we unveiled that Chevrolet Cruze SS had come to Singapore on the first Febuary 2010, now that Chevrolet has expand it’s Chevrolet Cruze to Malaysia market this month by Pavilion Crest Sdn Bhd, a Naza Group company.
The Chevrolet Cruze is sedan segmented compact car which replacing Optra Magnum in their line up, and had already launched and available for booking in Malaysia. Finally, Malaysian can expect to get line up of top Chevrolet model, unveiled at KL Convention Centre by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
Chevrolet Cruze is powered by 1.8 Litre Ecotec engine with 140 bhp and 176 Nm of torque at 3,800 rpm. The twin-cam 16-valve unit with DCVCP (Double Continuous Variable Cam Phasing) and VIS (Variable Intake System) is paired to a 6 speed automatic gearbox Shiftronic. With regard to the performance, Chevrolet Cruze can sprint 0-100km/h in 11.5 seconds and with top speed of 190km/h.
Other that empowering this car is the Macpherson struts and rear suspension unit, disc brakes at all corners, hydraulic power assist unit for streering, 16 inch wheels with 205/50 Hankook Optimo rubber. It also comes with safety features such ABS with EBD, dual airbags, traction control, 6-disc in dash changer, climate control and telescopic steering wheel.
The Chevrolet Cruze is selling at RM97,888 for the 1.8-litre sole variant imported CBU unit from Korea, with on road price excluding insurance RM98,767.60.
