The New 2010 Kia Sorento XM is finally unveiled at the 2009 Seoul Motor Show and will be hitting to Malaysia soon afterward. This new Sorento is kind of longer, and the cabin room just got more spaces. This 7 seaters car is equipped with new unibody chasis which give the downforce to 54mm lower, with MacPherson strut and multi link design bring forward from the previous model but with more improvements.
Three engine variant are available, a 2.7 liter V6 petrol, 2.4 liter petrol, and 2.2 liter inline 4 turbodiesel one. The US market will get even more variant with 3.5 liter V6 petrol offering 277 PS and 335Nm of torque. The 2.7 liter V6 one are from the MU family with 165 PS and244Nm of torque supporting LPI liquid natural gas, while 2.4 liter petrol are from the Mitsubishi Hyundai Daimler GEMA engine family, and another one is from the New R family peaking 197 PS and 435 Nm torque.
The car will be a 6 speed automatic available, with more compact and lighter which uses flat rate of torque converter, with 12 kg lighter. This new Kia Sorento XM is available both in 2WD or 4WD transmission, Down hill brake control front approach angle of 25.1 degrees and departure angle of 23.1 degrees.
