Usually, between midnight and 6 a.m is the riskiest time for crashes, because there are fewer drivers yet more accidents than any other time of the day. If you drive through the night to get somewhere, it’s important to remember that driving at night presents different challenges than driving during the day. At night, your vision is severely limited.  Here, there are some consideration to keep in your mind to improve your night vision and driving ability after sunset.

First, you should use your lights courteously. One hour before sunset, turn your headlights to make it easier for other drivers to see you in early twilight. Also, keep your headlights on at least one hour after sunrise. Refrain from flashing your high beams at a vehicle with its high beams on, this will only increase the chance that drivers will not be able to see. In fog, low beam headlights should be used. If your vehicle is equipped with fog lamps, use them with your low beams only when there is fog or inclement weather.

Moreover, all exterior vehicle lights be sure can work properly. Besides, your windows and  headlights  should be clean. Dirty windows can increase glare that can cause more difficult to see, while dirty headlights can reduce efficiency.

When you are driving, increase your following distance. It can make easier to spot potential problems on the roadway and give you more time to respond. In addition, proper lighting will enable you to react quicker and stop at a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you.

Lastly, If you are feel sleepy and tired, you need to take some rest to sleep. But, If you are choose to drive alone, your can take some coffee to avoid sleepy when driving. In addition, you also recommended to hear music or rolling down the windows to take fresh breathe from outside.
