Since the last review about Malaysia’s Police now using Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 10, now introduced the another monster at the same level from Mitsubishi. It’s the 2009 Model of Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, which is well defined it’s level to be at the middle of Mitsubishi Lancer GTS and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 10. This are rated based on the performances, features and price range of the stated car model.
The Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart uses the 4B11 2.0L four cylinder engine, the same engine equipped to the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 10, but with single scroll turbo, while the Mitsubishi Evolution 10 got twin scroll, which what differ than the Evolution one.The air intercooler is 54% smaller than Evolution. The car model has been tuned to provide the 237 Hp at 6,000 RPM or torque of 253 lbs.ft or 3,000 RPM. This is a 4 wheel driven car with 6-speed twin clutch Sportronic transmission provided to the model.
With the slight tuning, the car’s top speed now is 144 MPH or 231.7 KPH and can accelerate from 0 MPH to 60 MPH with only 5.3 seconds. As for the suspension system, the Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart uses the McPherson strut as the front suspension and multi link for the rear one. This can lower the car price and make it affordable, based on the quality, performance and pricing.

Not sure about that 0-60 time. I have heard that it is more along the lines of low 6 seconds. I also wonder how much tuning can be done on the engine to boost power and if the computerized dual clutch tranny can take it? Does anyone have an idea?
