
Last year we’ve posted a Cnet’s Video featuring the Tata Nano presented at Geneva Auto Show 2008 on our Youtube Channel and had received tons of feedback regarding the car production. Now, the Tata Nano is officially ready on sale for Indian domestic market with more well equipped version that what showcased before.
The domestic version of Tata Nano will be sale starting 1st April at Tata Motors Passenger Car dealerships and selected authorized outlets with 3 variants, Standard, CX, and LX. Those are with the 24,000 Km or 18 months of warranty. And as promised, the price will starts at 1 lakh (about RM7,000 or USD1,900) excluding the shipping, taxes and registration prices.
This 4 speed transmission car will be powered by 624cc of 2 cylinder aluminum multi port fuel injection engine which will be producing 35 PS at 5,250 RPM and 48Nm of torque at 3,000 RPM. The car top speed will be about 105 KMH. What quite interesting is, the car weights only 600kg with fuel efficiency of 23.6Km/liter which was rated by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).
