Scion revealed that it will be introducing the new micro-subcompact concept car during the upcoming New York Auto Show. This auto brand still did not reveal anything yet, other that the concept images that represent a new segmented car for their brand, aiming toward the growth urbanization trend.
To get into the latest news, we’ll have to wait until the New York Auto Show how true the news is, but we believed that the latest upcoming model will be on sale in Japan later on this year. The Scion or Subaru coupe was not meant to replace the current model, placed not long ago. What we are surely think is Scion is about the re badged version of Toyota iQ micro car for the US market.
To help improve the fuel efficiency of the model, the new engine comes with Toyota’s Optimal Drive technology as well as an engine Stop & Start technology. The engine is expected to fit 1.33 liter with dual VVTi system which capable to give 99 horsepower to the engine bay, 6 speed manual or CVT transmission while fuel consumption figured with manual tranny at 58.9 miles gallon, or 55.4 miles gallon with CVT.
