Most of automatic transmission are with the problem with it, and your car might be suffering the transmission fluid starvation. Common symptoms regarding this kind of problem are clunking noises during transmission gear shifting, or the car seems to be dragging it’s wheel upon a gear changing. Foremost, get the transmission fluid level in your car a check. The meter is under the hood and see whether the fluid is at the Optimum mark, if not, get yourself the transmission fluid and refill at about the Optimum mark. Upon getting a transmission fluid, get a manual consultation first to make sure that you are getting the right one for the vehicle you owned. Use a funnel to fill the transmission fluid reservoir at the time as it will not be leaking around the corner. This important not to damage the whole car system with the fluids around.

After putting the transmission fluid but the car is still with the same level as before, check the transmission level again. If it’s no longer at the Optimum level, check for the leaking and broken gaskets. Take a trip to dealer or mechanic to have your transmission system a look.

As the prevention from this problem occurring, regular maintenance checks are needed to your vehicle. You should have the transmission checked every 20,000 miles of the car driven. This to get the latest update for your car as transmission system error might cause you much bucks.
